Gimbi timothy hay (aka rat tail, Timothy Hay or Phleum pratense) is a particular forage, which has as its natural characteristics the low protein content and a high percentage of fibers. It prevents obesity and the high percentage of fiber promotes proper functioning of the gastro-intestinal tract, making it the ideal diet for rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and other small herbivorous mammals. It reduces the incidence of soft stools and intestinal gas, as well as exerting an anti-inflammatory function useful for preventing cough, bronchitis, intestinal infections, diarrhea, allergies and inflammation of the upper respiratory tract. It is also suitable for inappetent and / or convalescent subjects. The aroma of this herb is mild, the palatability by animals is very high.
